In Paris, celebrating La Fête Nationale is a full-day affair. The festivities begin in the morning, with the traditional military parade on the Avenue des Champs Elysées. In the evening, near the Eiffel Tower is the place to be. People gather to watch a concert starting at 9:15 pm. Themes for this edition of the festival are conviviality, sharing, and respect for the environment.

Get to Know the Arcachon Bassin

Situated along the Atlantic coast, just about an hour away from the city of Bordeaux, lies the Arcachon Bay. Spend some time getting to know Arcachon and its two parts: the Ville d’Eté (summer town) with its seaside promenade, casino, and shops, and the Ville d’Hiver (winter town), which is much quieter, with sumptuous villas hidden away from the public by pine trees.

Visit Arcachon

The tranquil Arcachon Bay emerged as a luxury retreat for Bordeaux’s upper class in the 19th century. The elegant Belle Époque villas, rejuvenating spas, and expansive golden sandy beaches make it a favorite of the French, although it is still very under the radar for foreigners.

During the wintertime Paris is much less crowded. It’s a great time to visit always popular museums and monuments like the Musée du Louvre, Eiffel Tower, and Château de Versailles.

Start your morning with a delightful French breakfast at your hotel including croissants, breads, delicious jams, butter, fresh-squeezed fruit juices and more. Afterwards, your chauffeur will meet you in the lobby to take you to a private Christmas food and decoration walking tour.
