Day 1: Paris - Deauville

Private Transfer in a Luxury Vehicle: Paris Airport to Deauville

A chauffeur will meet you for a private transfer between Paris Airport and Deauville.

Suggestion: Explore Deauville

Deauville started as the vision of Napoleon III’s half-brother. From the adjacent town of Trouville, he looked across the marshes and dunes and decided to build a race track. Elegant villas were built between the race track and the sea. When Deauville was first created, it was a luxury resort and has remained so ever since. Most buildings are in the picturesque half-timber style, typical of Normandy.

Of course, despite the impressive architecture, the major attraction at Deauville is the long white sandy beach. Even the beach manages to remain luxurious, with posh colorful umbrellas (a trademark of the town) and well-maintained beach cabins. The beach cabins are named after American stars who came to Deauville for the film festival. The promenade along the 1.5-kilometer-long boardwalk is a highlight of any visit. There are lots of seafood restaurants along the waterfront. The highly reputed casino has a prime spot by the beach and is the venue for film festivals.

Deauville has gained a reputation for its American film festival, taking place every year at the beginning of September. Recently, an annual Asian film festival has also started. The town is home to equestrian events as well: the race track sits up above the village – an excellent spot for a day at the races.

Half-Day Custom Private Tour in a Luxury Vehicle

Private Helicopter Flight Over the Étretat Cliffs

From Deauville Saint Gatien airport, take off for the cliffs of Étretat. After flying over the Estuary between Honfleur and Le Havre, you will fly along Port 2000, then the coast until you see the breathtaking cliffs.

These gigantic white chalk cliffs are classified as UNESCO World Heritage Site. The impressionist painters were inspired by them and the writer Maurice Leblanc used them as a setting for the intrigues of his famous gentleman burglar, Arsène Lupin. The Arche d’Aval, 80 meters high, has a singular shape due to nature and marine erosion. The famous Aiguille (needle) measures about 55 meters high and is always a highlight of the beautiful flight.

Day 3: Bayeux and the WWII Sites

Full-Day Private Driving Tour of the D-Day Landing Beaches

Normandy was on every newspaper front page around the world. The biggest amphibious force ever assembled was about to try breaking through Fortress Europa. 156,000 allied personnel landed on D-Day, making it the introduction of the last chapter of WWII in Europe.

During your day tour, you will see both Utah Beach and Omaha Beach landing sites, which were the two American sectors. Discover the mighty cliffs that the rangers climbed at the Pointe du Hoc, as well as Sainte-Mère-Eglise: the first town in France to be liberated by the US Airborne Division. Finish this emotional day at the Normandy American Cemetery where you will be able to pay respect to the sacrifice forever owed to the greatest generation.

Weather permitting, you will have a picnic lunch in one of France’s most picturesque villages with local products such as a seasonal salad, andouille, baguette, teurgoule, butter, cheeses, and ciders…or you can go to a restaurant recommended by your guide.

Then, you will discover the process of cider brewing. Your guide has chosen the best places in Normandy so that you have an unforgettable experience. By the end of the day Normandy’s “art-de-vivre” will no longer hold any secrets for you.

Day 5: Mont Saint Michel

Full-Day Private Driving Tour of Mont Saint-Michel

You will depart from Bayeux for a day trip to visit one of the most popular and emblematic sites in France: Mont Saint-Michel and its bay, a unique place between sky and sea. This UNESCO World Heritage Site has a distinct characteristic of being built on a rocky islet, surrounded by a magnificent bay with the highest tides in continental Europe.

Your certified guide will help you discover all aspects of the Mont and reveal all the secrets of its famous abbey. From here, you will admire one of the most beautiful and largest bays in the world. Stroll through the maze of streets in the village. Visit the Benedictine Abbey founded at the beginning of the 8th century. It is one of the most important places of pilgrimage in the Middle Ages. A jewel of Romanesque, Gothic, and flamboyant arts: the cloister, the refectory, and its gardens overlooking the sea.
